Good for you mate, you weed-lovers (no offense there, I'm just jealous... ) get to learn english since the first grade or something, no wonder you can speak it correctly, even if you happen to have been a very average student.

I'll stick to english as you, but it might be of use, even if it's not perfect. Some people around here seem to be having a few problems with english (not to say a lot of problems), this might just help'em along...

You're absolutly right.. It isn't perfect but for the people with really bad english it is indeed very good. And not every dutchman can speak english:P I know alot of dutch people who can't count till ten

Well, those dutch people must've been the very worst students then, F- grade or something.. rofl The bottom of the barrel, you might say in a FPS analogy (barrel. get it ? lol)

I've had a girlfriend in the netherlands for a time, I have first-hand experience of this subject. Had the occasion to talk to a whole bunch of them (and not just the weed-smokers either. Sometimes the coffeshops owners or the hookers too. lol (though not when my gf was around of course.. ), and generally they have no problem understanding it, even if they don't speak it fluently.

the thing also is that we get to hear english each day on television etc.
not to forget, the movies we see, are w/ the original voices so we get to read what we hear.
In france for example, the voices are being replaced ..

If only they were correct translations I wouldn't say, but most of the time they suck ass, and totally lose the meaning. Plus it totally fucks up the lip-synching...

I'd move to the netherlands anytime, if it wasn't so crowded already (20+ millions, on such a tiny piece of land, makes for very very expensive housing)...
In many ways they're way more advanced and liberal than us in France, and a whole league ahead of america. The true "land of the free", if there is one left on Earth.

Lol...I can only imagine watching a Jim Carey movie like that.
