some gun nut (nuttier than me that is) correct me if I'm wrong, but they seem to be toting some kind of Heckler&Koch machine pistol, maybe the compact version of the MP5 (preferred weapon of antiterrorist teams in urban settings) or maybe a compact G36, with picattiny rail on top (for mounting a scope or laser designator)..
