Yes it was my first computer, then i graduated to the commodore 128, 2 mHz, blazing fast lol, it was a very fun machine, never had to worry about viruses got me onto the old BBS's (Bulletin Board Systems) and even made a few texted based games. Invested in one of the first hard drives for the commodore, it was called the Lt. Kernal and was an unbelievable 20 megs, LOL, 20 megs seems so funny now.

Don't worry dude, you ain't alone
I'm the kind of guy who started out on a Thomson MO5 25 years ago, then Amstrad CPC, Commodore Amiga, and only switched to PC in 1993 (when they got powerful enough to beat the Amiga in graphics and 3D)..
I even had occasions to work on an Acorn Archimedes (pretty rare in France at the time, 1988), with its killer RISCOS windowed system, years before Apple and MS thought of implementing such a GUI..
No Windoze in those times, we used to do it all via command-line (just like I do under Linux and BSD today )

Yep, that's what I was talking about... Except for the Spectrum, those were my first two machines.
Even now, I'm still using my old Amiga sometimes (to make disk dumps to the virtual .ADF format for use with WinUAE), and I even have an old Thomson TO-9 lying around, complete with 1.8" disk drive, tape drive, optic pen, BASIC manual, the whole works -plus what I think is a 10" monochrome monitor (never tested it.. lol)
I got that for free while I was passing my diploma in computer science 2 years ago (used to be a chemist before, up to the point when I realized I had nothing to envy to the guys from the IT department where I was working, I could even teach them some things about advanced stuff they had never heard of.. lol what a bunch of dimwits when I think about it) : the teacher was cleaning up a room and throwing away a shitload of obsolete books and hardware, and I helped myself to this ole workhorse, and a few Pentium workstations (I made them into BSD or Linux routers/firewalls for DSL/cable connections, then sold'em to people who wanted one but couldn't do that themselves )... Sometimes if you're at the right place at the right time, you can get some nice things for next-to-nothing (in my case nothing at all, not a dime, not a penny, zip, zilch, you get the idea I guess)...
